Amy Reid
Amy Reid is the director of impact strategy with Vera's Innovation team. A public health professional dedicated to improving systems and structures that impact equity, she joined the Institute in 2021. In her role, Amy oversees initiatives as they move along Vera's impact pipeline, and works with project teams to develop strategies that weave together advocacy, partnership, research, and strategic communications to push criminal legal and immigration systems toward greater equity and justice.
Prior to joining Vera, Amy was a senior director at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), where she led IHI's efforts to advance health equity, including strategy and business development; initiative design, implementation, and evaluation; and teaching and coaching. She worked with health care systems and community coalitions to improve health care quality and health equity, leveraging public health, racial justice, and implementation science methods.
Amy holds a BS from Davidson College and an MPH from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, with her husband and daughter.
