Vera Institute of Justice

Adair Iacono is Vera's Chief Legal Officer. The Legal Department provides comprehensive in-house legal services, including risk management, contracting, compliance, advice on personnel matters, and development of organizational policy. As secretary to Vera’s Board of Trustees, Adair advises the board on corporate governance. Adair joined Vera’s legal team as the 2010–2011 Rockefeller Brothers Fund Fellow in Nonprofit Law, working her way up the ranks to her present role.

Adair holds an AB from Princeton University and a JD from New York University School of Law, where she was a student research fellow at the National Center on Philanthropy and the Law (NCPL). She volunteers with Princeton’s Alumni Schools Committee and is co-chair of the Princeton Women’s Network of NYC, as well as a member of the Nonprofit Forum at the NCPL.
