Overview

The Incarceration and Inequality Data Explorer allows users to examine trends in, and relationships between, measures of incarceration and a range of economic metrics—both at the county-level and for the entire country. The technical documentation summary, “similar counties” methodology, data dictionary, and explainer contain descriptions of the variables and methods underlying the data explorer, information on the explorer’s data sources, and an overview of how to use the tool.
