MiKayla Green is a research analyst with Vera's Ending Girls' Incarceration (EGI) initiative. In her role, MiKayla supports EGI’s quantitative analysis research across projects, in addition to working directly with system-impacted girls and gender-expansive youth through the initiative’s youth engagement efforts.

Before joining Vera in 2022, MiKayla worked as a consultant at The Human Rights Data Analysis Group (HRDAG). At HRDAG, she worked on projects analyzing the police response to missing Black girls in Chicago, examining police use of force reports in Puerto Rico, and predicting the location of the graves of people that died in the Reconstruction-era convict leasing system in the United States.

MiKayla holds a BA in African American studies and a certificate in statistics and machine learning from Princeton University.
