Vivian Siu

Vivian Siu is the managing director of Vera’s communications and external affairs department, overseeing the day-to-day operations of media relations, digital engagement, editorial strategy, creative production, and external affairs, to advance the Institute’s core priorities.

Vivian is an Emmy and Webby Award-winning producer with more than 20 years of diverse communications experience with nonprofit and news organizations worldwide. She has led communications and content strategy at The Intercept, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Planned Parenthood Action Fund, and UNICEF. She also previously worked as a journalist and producer at NBC News, NBC Olympics, ABC News, and PBS. Most recently, Vivian was the chief marketing and communications officer at the Center for Reproductive Rights, where she was a member of the Center’s executive team and led efforts to raise the visibility of global reproductive health and rights issues as well as three United States Supreme Court abortion case campaigns. Today she is a member of the board of directors of Pregnancy Justice.

Vivian holds a BS from Barnard College and an MS from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
