Vera Institute of Justice

Shirin was a research analyst on Vera's Greater Justice New York team. She conducted qualitative research primarily for the New York Bail Reform Evaluation Study to understand how the new pretrial reforms are being implemented in local jurisdictions across New York State. Shirin holds extensive experience conducting rigorous qualitative research in diverse contexts. Originally from the Bay Area, Shirin received her BA in sociology from the University of California, Berkeley, and her MA in social sciences from the University of Chicago.
