Jacquelyn Pavilon

Jacquelyn Pavilon is the associate director of research for Vera’s Advancing Universal Representation initiative. In her role, she oversees the management, staffing, and performance of the initiative’s interdisciplinary research team.

Before joining Vera in 2023, Jacquelyn was deputy director at the Center for Migration Studies of New York, where she led research projects, including producing estimates of the United States’ undocumented population. Jacquelyn also contributed to various projects at the World Bank, co-authoring a book on COVID-19 and migration in the Mediterranean region.

Jacquelyn previously worked at Georgetown University’s Initiative on Innovation, Development, and Evaluation, where she studied digital financial inclusion in East Africa. She was also international communication coordinator for Jesuit Refugee Service International and a mathematician for WMS Gaming, Inc.

Jacquelyn holds a BS in mathematics and a BA in international studies and political science from Loyola University Chicago. She holds a PhD in economics from Georgetown University.
