Vera Institute of Justice

Hannah Eddy was the communications manager for Vera's Unlocking Potential initiative in the communications and external affairs department. In her role, Hannah advanced the initiative’s efforts to expand access to high-quality postsecondary education in prison by managing strategic communications to further programmatic goals, support Unlocking Potential partners, and build greater awareness of the benefits of college in prison.

Before joining Vera in 2021, Hannah oversaw communications and supported advocacy and outreach efforts at Sanctuary for Families, one of New York State's leading service providers for survivors of domestic violence. She also previously worked for a documentary production nonprofit, where she handled film distribution and audience engagement, communications, and fundraising.

Hannah holds a BA from American University where she studied history and anthropology.
