Anem Shariff
Anem Shariff joined Vera’s Center for Immigration and Justice in May 2020 as the program associate II for the National Qualified Representatives Program (NQRP). In her role, Anem aimed to support NQRP’s vast network of Qualified Representatives with program and data management, along with providing mental health related technical training. Prior to joining Vera, Anem was a social worker and worked primarily with survivors of domestic violence (DV). She worked first at Haven House, an emergency DV shelter, and then at Resources and Help Against Marital Abuse (RAHAMA), which provided culturally specific DV services to the immigrant, refugee, asylee, and Muslim communities. At RAHAMA, Anem acted as both director of development and a DV court advocate. Anem holds dual master of social work and master of public health degrees from New York University.
