Whitney Dukes

Whitney joined Vera in 2016. She primarily assists Kevin Keenan, Vera’s executive vice president and special counsel, in his work with Vera’s demonstration projects in New York and New Orleans. Whitney joined Vera with 2-3 years of experience developing and supporting core operations in diverse nonprofit settings. A professional with early familial exposure to effects of incarceration on family, she is committed to working for causes that thoroughly address injustice and systemic problems.

Whitney graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Throughout her coursework, she studied the sociological research of families, health, poverty, and education. Her particular interests include race, history, and public policy.
