Sara Pattiz
Sara Pattiz is the principal and major gifts manager in Vera's development department. In her role, Sara helps build and maintain donor relationships and contributes to the Institute's overall fundraising efforts.
Before joining Vera in 2025, Sara held development positions at a wide range of organizations. Most recently, she worked at the Alliance for International Medical Action as a major gifts officer, where she spearheaded capital campaigns and fostered donor relationships. Sara has also worked on development teams at the Careers through Culinary Arts Program, the American Folk Art Museum, and Fòs Feminista (formerly International Planned Parenthood Federation Western Hemisphere Region).
Outside of Vera, Sara serves on the advisory council of the New York Birth Control Access Project, which advocates for birth control access and policy change.
Sara holds a BA in art and art history from Dickinson College and an MPA from New York University’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
