Rosie Wang

Rosie Wang is a senior program associate with Vera’s Advancing Universal Representation initiative, which works to provide a public defender model of deportation defense for detained immigrants throughout the country and campaigns to secure the right to federally funded representation in immigration court. Prior to joining Vera in 2020, Rosie was the director of legal advocacy and services at the Urban Justice Center's Sex Workers Project. In that role, she helped advocate for the decriminalization of sex work and represented sex workers and trafficking survivors in their applications for immigration relief. Rosie has also worked as a fellow at Sanctuary for Families, providing immigration legal assistance to clients referred from the Queens Human Trafficking Intervention Court. Rosie received her JD from Columbia Law School and her BA in history from the University of California, Berkeley.
