Rebecca Silber

Becky Silber has been a Senior Program Associate at Vera's Center on Sentencing and Corrections since 2013. At Vera she has led statewide policy reform work and policy implementation assistance in Tennessee, Georgia and South Dakota; provided policy guidance to counties trying to reduce their jail populations and improve their pretrial justice systems; and conducted research on national criminal justice policy trends. She is a lawyer who previously practiced in the litigation department of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where she represented prisoners and parolees with psychiatric disabilities who alleged Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) violations in their discharge planning process and post-release supervision. She holds a BA from Yale University and a JD magna cum laude from Fordham Law School.
