Rebecca Silber

Becky Silber is a program manager for special initiatives at Vera's Center on Sentencing and Corrections. At Vera she has led projects on jail population reduction in Oklahoma counties; the use of medical parole in New York; statewide policy reform work and policy implementation assistance in Tennessee, Georgia, and South Dakota; and research on national criminal justice policy trends. She is a lawyer who previously practiced in the litigation department of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where she represented prisoners and parolees with psychiatric disabilities who alleged Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) violations in their discharge planning process and post-release supervision. She holds a BA from Yale University and a JD magna cum laude from Fordham Law School.
