Raymond Murillo

Raymond Murillo is an operations associate in the People, Place, and Culture department at Vera's office in Los Angeles, California. In his role, Raymond helps advance the Institute's mission by overseeing the daily operations of the Los Angeles office and providing administrative support to the place-based Vera California initiative.

Before joining Vera in 2024, Raymond worked for Centro CHA, a Long Beach, California-based nonprofit, as a reentry case manager. At Centro CHA, he supported participants with key integrative tools to successfully rejoin their communities, helping reduce the likelihood of further system involvement.

Raymond formerly served with AmeriCorps as a California Justice Leader, supporting system-impacted youth. He has also facilitated workshops in youth camps and juvenile detention facilities across California.

Raymond holds a BS in sociology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
