Marlyn Bruno

Marlyn (“Mar-leen”) joined Vera in May 2019 as a program analyst for the Legal Orientation Program and Immigration Court Helpdesk. Prior to joining Vera, Marlyn worked as an immigration paralegal at Brooklyn Defender Services on the New York Immigrant Family Unity Project team. As a paralegal, she provided all levels of assistance to families confronting deportation. Marlyn previously worked as an intern at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Spain delegation.

Marlyn graduated from Princeton University in 2017 with a BA in psychology and certificates in neuroscience and Spanish language and cultures. During her time at Princeton, Marlyn worked as a research assistant in the history department, taught English as a Second Language classes, and co-led Princeton’s DREAM Team, an immigrant rights organizing group on campus and in the local community.
