Luis Bautista

As a senior program associate for the Legal Orientation Program (LOP) and Immigration Court Helpdesk (ICH), Luis provides support and technical assistance to nonprofit legal service providers that educate detained and non-detained immigrants about their removal proceedings in order for them to make informed decisions about their legal case.

Prior to joining Vera’s Center on Immigration and Justice, Luis was an immigration staff attorney at Make the Road New York. There, he represented individuals on various forms of immigration relief, including individuals that were in removal proceedings and those applying affirmatively for humanitarian relief.
