Katherine Traverso

Katherine Traverso is a senior program associate in the SAFE (Safety and Fairness for Everyone) Network in Vera’s Center on Immigration and Justice. She works out of Vera’s Los Angeles office. Before joining Vera, Katherine was a labor attorney and an attorney at the ACLU of Southern California, where she focused on immigration enforcement and national security issues. Prior to that, she clerked for the Honorable Dolly M. Gee, district judge for the Central District of California in Los Angeles, and the Honorable Carlos F. Lucero, circuit judge of the Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit in Denver. Katherine graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, and Stanford Law School. Before law school, she worked at the ACLU Immigrants’ Rights Project in New York and did human rights work in Guatemala.
