Jordan Kessler

As vice president of development, Jordan is accountable for the design and execution of Vera’s comprehensive fundraising strategy. A member of Vera’s Leadership Team, he works with Vera’s president, board of trustees, and other senior leaders to strengthen current fundraising strategies and develop new ones. Jordan manages Vera’s development team and frequently represents Vera to current and prospective funders. Jordan joined Vera in 2015 after more than 11 years at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), a national environmental nonprofit organization, where he played a key role in raising tens of millions of dollars. Prior to working at NRDC, Jordan helped launch the Stax Museum of American Soul Music in Memphis and served as director of internet monitoring for the Anti-Defamation League. Jordan earned a bachelor’s degree in U.S. history from Columbia University. A Chicago native, he lives with his wife in New York City.
