Jian Gallo-Kohn

Jian Gallo-Kohn joined Vera in 2018. She currently holds the position of Race, Equity and Inclusion Associate. She supports the race equity work to disrupt and eliminate structural racism and white supremacy internally and externally. She works alongside the executive team and in collaboration with People Resources and all Centers to ensure this transformation. Jian was previously a center coordinator for Vera’s Center on Victimization and Safety where she supported the center staff and programmatic work related to the Office for Victims of Crime’s National Resource Center for Reaching Underserved Victims grant.

Prior to joining Vera, Jian worked for the Obama Foundation in Washington, D.C. as an operations intern where she assisted with internal Foundation projects, onboarding of new staff members, and daily operations. Throughout her college career she held multiple internships in the nonprofit sector, including Human Rights Campaign, the Ad Council and the Smithsonian Institute. Jian holds a BA in political science and criminal justice from The George Washington University.
