Jessica Mendoza Stadmeyer
Jessica joined Vera’s Center on Immigration and Justice in March 2017. She was a program associate for the Legal Orientation Program and Immigration Court Helpdesk. Jessica came to Vera with a background in public service and a passion for helping underserved populations access our legal system. After clerking for a district court judge for two years, Jessica worked as an attorney at a small firm in Colorado, where she advocated for clients in the areas of family law and criminal defense. She also volunteered for a pro bono program, representing people who were unable to afford legal representation. Prior to law school, Jessica spent five years working for One Economy Corporation, a nonprofit organization that leveraged technology to help low-income people improve their lives. She earned a JD from the University of Colorado Law School in 2013 and a BA in Political Science from Villanova University in 2005.
