Erin Ross

As a senior program associate in Vera’s Reshaping Prosecution program, Erin works with elected prosecutors across the country to end mass incarceration, address racial disparities, and make their offices more accountable to the communities they serve. Prior to joining Vera in 2020, Erin served as a prosecutor at the Bronx District Attorney’s Office. In her first four years, she worked in the domestic violence bureau handling all levels of cases from misdemeanors to serious violent felonies and sex offenses. In her final year, Erin worked in the Alternatives to Incarceration Bureau. Through her work she advocated for the use of diversion over incarceration and educated prosecutors on the benefits of a restorative approach with a specific focus on violent and gender-based crimes. Erin received her law degree from Hofstra University with a concentration in Criminal Law and Procedure and holds a BA in Studio Art with Honors from Brandeis University.
