Emma Delaporte
Emma Delaporte works as a research associate with Vera’s Greater Justice New York (GJNY) team. GJNY uses data analysis, research, strategic communications, policy, and advocacy to advance bail and pretrial justice reform, reduce the use of jails and prisons, minimize the harms of involvement with the criminal legal system, and support reinvestment in strategies that build truly safe and thriving communities throughout the state of New York. Emma’s work focuses on quantitative research questions related to bail and pretrial jail reform in New York State.
Before joining Vera in 2022, Emma worked as an education researcher in the Bay Area of California, where she focused on issues related to educational attainment and access.
Emma holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Southern California and an MsC in social research methods from the London School of Economics.
