Elma Djokovic

Elma Djokovic is an analyst with Vera’s monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) team. In her role, she collaborates with departments and initiatives across the Institute to establish objectives that drive results and to create measurable indicators to track progress, while cultivating an environment that values continuous learning.

As a researcher, Elma has examined various aspects of the criminal legal system, including studying New York City’s implementation of the state’s "raise the age" law and the city’s stop and frisk policies. Previously, she also worked at The Fortune Society as a data manager, where she developed reporting standards and optimized workflow processes for enhanced program efficiency, in addition to providing crucial support to program staff.

Elma holds a BA in sociology from Hunter College, City University of New York.
