Vera Institute of Justice

Eliana Sherwood is a media associate for rapid response for Vera’s communications and external affairs department. In this role, she develops communications materials, supports communications strategies for various programs and initiatives at Vera, and facilitates media inquiries and press outreach.

Before joining Vera, Eliana worked as a communications consultant at the New York City Mayor’s Office of the Chief Technology Officer, where she developed digital storytelling materials and provided research and communications support. Previously, Eliana worked with the New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault, the Practising Law Institute, and the Coalition for the International Criminal Court.

Eliana holds a BA in history, sociology, and social and public policy from New York University and an MPA from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs.
