Eli Blood
Eli Blood works as associate general counsel for Vera’s legal department. In this role, he performs contract review and advises on legal questions for departments across the Institute. Eli specifically supports Vera in federal contracting, data security, and immigration programs.
Before joining Vera in 2020, Eli worked for New York University’s US-Asia Law Institute, leading programs on comparative approaches to criminal law and criminal procedure law across jurisdictions in Asia. This included workshops on topics such as pretrial detention, wrongful convictions, and legal ethics for audiences in Japan, the People’s Republic of China, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
Eli holds a BA in English literature from Haverford College and a JD from New York University School of Law.
