Dominick DeGaetano
Dominick DeGaetano is the managing editor in Vera’s communications and external affairs department. In his role, Dom supports the editorial team in working collaboratively to drive Vera's communications strategy and advance its criminal legal and immigration reform efforts through narrative change.
Previously, Dom worked in communications at Fordham University School of Law and Brooklyn Law School, focusing on improving access to justice and legal education. He received a CASE Circle of Excellence Award for his article about the Brooklyn Law community’s role in the legal defense of the victims of the 1971 Attica Uprising.
Outside of Vera, Dom is a playwright and theater producer. His work has been staged across New York City.
Dom holds a BA from The George Washington University and an MFA from Stony Brook University.
