Vera Institute of Justice

David Nidiffer is Vera’s director of finance. He leads Vera’s finance and accounting teams in the annual budget process, monthly reporting, annual audit, IRS filings, and many other financial duties.

David was most recently a consultant with CliftonLarsonAllen, where he aided for-profit and nonprofit clients. David was also CFO at the Jewish Community Center in Indianapolis as well as the CEO/CFO of Irvington Community School, one of Indiana’s first charter schools.

David is on the board of trustees for the Acacia Center for Justice, a newly formed nonprofit created through a collaboration between Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights Coalition and Vera. Acacia seeks to deliver and advocate for meaningful and effective access to justice and freedom for immigrants at risk of detention or deportation in partnership with an accountable, independent nationwide network of immigrant legal service providers and community partners.

David holds a BS in accounting from Indiana University.
