Chris Mai

Chris Mai is a research associate in Vera’s Center on Sentencing and Corrections. She works primarily on cost-benefit analyses of criminal justice policies and programs. Before joining Vera, Chris was a state policy fellow at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, where she conducted research and analysis on a range of state fiscal policy issues, including original research on state funding for education in the aftermath of the recession. Chris earned her BA from the University of Virginia and holds an MPP from the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia.
