Celia Flinn

Celia Flinn joined the Center on Victimization and Safety as a special assistant in 2016. She graduated from Claremont McKenna College in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in history and gender studies. Through her feminist studies, Celia developed a passion for ending gender-based violence, which she honed as a student activist during her undergraduate career. Before coming to Vera, Celia worked as a story-telling intern at Breakthrough U.S., a nonprofit dedicated to eliminating cultural norms and practices that lead to gender-based violence. Celia’s work has taken her from local government, as a policy intern at the Department on the Status of Women, a branch of the San Francisco Mayor’s Office, to the national level, interning at the Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women in Washington, D.C. She currently volunteers on the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network’s online hotline.
