Caroline Iosso

Caroline Iosso is a senior program associate with Vera's Opening Doors to Housing initiative, working with state legislatures and housing finance agencies to eliminate barriers to housing access for people with conviction or arrest histories.

Before joining Vera in 2024, Caroline worked on homelessness policy at a family shelter provider in New York City, where she conducted and shared research on how to improve systemic support for families with children experiencing homelessness. Previously, she led advocacy and communications at a workforce development nonprofit. Caroline has also worked as a fair housing advocate in Brooklyn and a shelter caseworker in Colorado, in addition to serving as a Know Your Rights facilitator in New Mexico on the United States/Mexico border.

Caroline holds a BA in geography and Latin American studies from Vassar College and an MPA from New York University’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
