Brandon Sixto

Brandon is a research analyst who joined Vera in January 2022, based out of the Vera California office. Brandon utilizes multi-modal quantitative research methods to procure big data and draw insights to advance the goals of the Vera California office, including its campaign to close Men's Central Jail in Los Angeles. Brandon is interested in research at the intersection of the carceral system and environmental justice, with particular interest in advancing Just Transition projects and assisting in equitably transitioning communities away from fossil fuels and towards renewable energy. Prior to joining Vera, Brandon worked in immigration law providing services to Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking clients, as well as working as a technical project manager at a startup. Brandon graduated with a bachelor’s degree in ecology and evolutionary biology from Princeton University.
