Vera Institute of Justice

Ariel Goldberg is the editorial strategy director in Vera’s communications and external affairs department. In her role, she shapes Vera's communications strategy and leads a team of writers and editors to develop publications and multimedia content that drive narrative change and advance Vera’s mission.

Before joining Vera, Ariel spent eight years leading digital for Lambda Legal, the nation’s oldest and largest LGBTQ and HIV legal advocacy organization. In 2019, her team was honored by the Shorty Awards for its 2018 Supreme Court vacancy campaign.

Outside of Vera, Ariel consults for Wanderful, a global media company that advocates for a more inclusive travel industry. In 2021, her work with Wanderful earned a WTM Responsible Tourism Award. Her words have appeared in Thought Catalog, Teen Vogue, Refinery29, Upworthy, and Yahoo.

Ariel holds a BA in writing, literature, and publishing from Emerson College and a graduate certificate in publishing from New York University.
