Vera Institute of Justice

Amanda Nunn is the donor engagement manager in Vera's development department. Amanda supports the advancement of the Institute’s fundraising goals through the design and execution of engagement opportunities to cultivate and steward Vera donors. She plans webinars, leadership briefings, in-person events, and more, helping to deepen donors’ connection with Vera’s mission and expand philanthropic support.

Before joining Vera in 2023, Amanda worked in principal and major gifts at the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, managing a portfolio of major donors and facilitating leadership engagement in donor relationships. She previously worked in political consulting, where her clients included congressional and ballot initiative campaigns, elected officials, labor unions, and nonprofit organizations. She planned strategic outreach programs and special events to support clients in turning out voters, communicating effectively with constituents, building worker power, and raising charitable and political funds.

Amanda holds a BA in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
