Research Associate, Substance Use and Mental Health
Qing joined Vera in August 2010 as a research associate for the Substance Use and Mental Health Program. Prior to joining Vera, Qing worked in the Office of Justice Research and Performance at the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services. She has been involved in several research projects, including the exploration of cross-jurisdiction drug offending among the Operation IMPACT counties and analysis of domestic incidents involving elder victims. Prior to coming to the United States, Qing worked as a government official in China Customs for three years. She holds a BA in law and an MA in criminal justice. She is currently working on her PhD in criminal justice at the State University of New York at Albany.
