About the Vera Institute of Justice
Since 1961, the Vera Institute of Justice, a nonprofit organization based in New York City, has worked collaboratively with local, state, and federal agencies to improve the administration of justice in the United States and abroad. Vera works primarily in the areas of sentencing and corrections, policing, crime and victimization, the judicial process, and child welfare.
