On Monday, the New Orleans City Council held its first meeting with its new councilmembers, and they pledged to work with the city's new mayor, Mitch Landrieu. Councilmember Susan Guidry said that she would also work to implement the criminal justice system reforms that the Vera Institute recommended to the city.
