The Pew Charitable Trusts hosted a panel discussion about the findings of its report, Philadelphia’s Crowded, Costly Jails: The Search for Safe Solutions. Michael Jacobson, Vera's director, spoke on the panel about what reforms Philadelphia's criminal justice system could implement to reduce its costs and improve public safety.
