The New York Times reports on new research that shows that immigrants with lawyers are five times more likely to win deportation cases, but nearly 80 percent of immigrants in detention go unrepresented.
The story also mentions Vera's Legal Orientation Program, which works in immigration detention centers to explain to immigrants their rights, immigration court, and the detention process.
