The Crime Report's lead story today focuses on Vera's work to reform the criminal justice system in New Orleans. Julia Dahl interviewed Jon Wool, director of Vera's New Orleans office, to reflect on how Hurricane Katrina affected the system, the progress made in recent years, and the biggest remaining challenges.
The Crime Report is published by the Center on Media, Crime and Justice at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice and by Criminal Justice Journalists.
